Jet Airways

Has anyone used this airline. If so, would you recommend them?
We are thinking of flying with Jet Airways to India at Christmas. The other best price is from Virgin. I'm not sure which would be better.
We will be flying economy, so any tips about seat pitch, food, service etc. would be great.

Recently got back from a holiday in India - and flew Jet Airways.

They were brilliant. The planes are all new, so that makes a nice change for a start. The seat pitch is 31 or 32", I think - perfectly average, and didn't feel cramped. The seats also tilt back a long way.

Service was very good. On the way back we had 3 meals, plus an unadvertised snack of piping hot samosas! Drinks and food seemed to be only endless supply.

They offer both Indian (curry) and British food options - we had the curries, and they were great. Very tasty, and nicely presented.

All in all - would highly recommend!

Out of all the Airlines I've used (and I've used a lot) Jet has to be one of the best. They've only recently been flying to the UK and I flew with them when they started last year. I've always used them for internal flights and the service on those is just as good.

My DH returned from Mumbai yesterday & flew both ways with Jet Airways for the first time. He usually goes BA and says Jet offer far better service. Like Mystic Trev he also uses them for internal flights within India and they're good. Worst service to/from India has been Air India.
