2 names on HSBC Joint Account Debit Card?
ScottChapman
I've recently opened 2 accounts with HSBC - a Sole Account for myself and a Joint Account with my partner.
We both received paperwork addressed to the both of us in regards to the Joint Account.
I received the card, pin and secure key all in my name to my address, which I assumed was the information for the Sole Account, but it was all for the Joint Account!
My partner hasn't received any other information about the account.
Is this right? Shouldn't there be both our names on the card?

There has to be only one name on each card.
If you opened a sole and a joint account you have to receive 2 cards with your name and one card with your partner's name.0 -

But both cards have my name on. The joint card has my name on and obviously the sole account will have my name on too...0 -

Your sole and joint account cards will be in your name only. Your partners card for the joint account will have their name only on it.
This is normal for joint accounts. Each card is unique and should be used by the named cardholder only.0 -
Exactly. So you'll end up with three cards:
Scott - Sole card
Scott - Joint card
Scott's OH - Joint card0 -
Your OH's card has probably been held up in the mail and will arrive tomorrow.0
