    I do.

I also know there is the possibility that what he used to past was all lies.

However, I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, unless what they say/type sounds ridiculous.

LOL, it would be ironic if they were all lies and you've been hot under the collar for almost 3 years for nothing. :)

Out of interest and regardless of whether this 'RenoMan's' posts are true or not, do you feel that you have wasted three years of your life obsessing over him or do you think it is time well spent?

And I pointed out (in a reasonable manner) that a person 10-15 years into their mortage, buying when they did, pre HPI, and considering overpayments and current rates SHOULD be in a very comfortable position (mortage wise) now.

He is comfortable "mortgage wise" now.

He is less comfortable with his overall financial position. Foreign holidays have been "off the menu" for a couple of years. As I stated earlier, he has recently told me that there is less money available at the end of the month. His mortgage is not his largetst expense. I believe that food is.

Someone I know is not doing quite so well financially than they did a few years ago, despite still being in the same job and having a fairly small mortgage.

I didn't obsess over him. In fact I think he may have obsessed over me. At one point he "lost it", making accusations that I'd failed in life because I was still in the same house that I bought as a FTBer. I was very embarassed for him, but I think he showed his true colours on that occassion.

I think that any time I spend doing anything is time well spent, actually. One thing I don't waste time doing is worrying about what I may, or may have done in the past.

Hmnnn, interesting. Can I ask how you know that this chap 'lost it'? I'm assuming that you don't have a webcam or audio and so we're still talking about a text based forum here? If this is the case, how do you manage to read such emotion into plain text posted on a forum?

Are you 'transfering', as I mentioned in a different post, where the reader transfers his own emotional state onto the post of the writer? Or perhaps 'wishful thinking' where you hope that your post elicits the emotional response you crave?

Your posts over the last week or so don't back up this claim. You have repeatedly spoken about incidents with this 'renoman' that occurred in the past. I recall one that made me titter where you went back to an argument a whole 2 years! :rotfl:

LOL, sorry, it still makes me laugh.

    No need to apologise.

I am laughing just as much at your accusation that I have been obsessing over him, when you seem to be the one with that characteristic.

You also seem to be quite interested in me and my past.

I probably possess the same ability as yourself.......
    Never a truer word. :)

I get the impression from the tone of all of your posts that you're Ok with your decision. Shame that not everyone is the same, there are a couple on here who didn't take any risks and instead of being happy with their decision, they seem to hate those who did decide to take a risk and who are doing well. Shame because these couple of people are now blighting their own lives with their negative emotions.

Why can't they be happy with their own decisions and indifferent to other peoples? Why do they have to become so embittered?
