You remind me of a marriage forum I was on for a while, where someone posted that now he had no problems standing naked before his bridge. Someone else retorted that where he came from, standing naked in front of a bridge was likely to get you arrested.Deleted_User wrote: »A litlte harsh. Even if the lady is a little on the larger side, describing her as a 'bridge' seems a tad unfair.

No wonder it is £90 a head, must take lots of prawn vol-au-vents for the bricks and Irn Bru for the girders.0

My husband and I got married overseas last year (it was a lot cheaper than doing it in the UK). We had a family meal when we got back to the UK - about £25 per head plus alcohol - the meal was early afternoon so not many people were drinking.
Party afterwards was at a local community theatre decorated by friends - bring your own booze, band and friends DJing. We tidied up ourselves the next day.
The total came well within your stated budget, and we effectively had three events in one. Nobody went hungry and we invited everyone we wanted to at least one part of the wedding.
Try not to get caught up in the wedding industry hype... check out some alternative wedding blogs online and think creatively. I agree that setting the date back would be a good idea, and putting your own stamp on things is a much nicer way of celebrating the day. £90 per head for food is totally over the top when you don't have much to spend.0 -
