Memory Stick and Xbox

Hi
I have bought my son a couple of memory sticks (I thought they were for his school work), just the 4gb size.
He keeps telling me that the sticks read memory full. I was thinking there must be something wrong with the USB drive, but now he is telling me, he put the brand new one into his Xbox to format it and the game he wants to save is only 1gb.
Can anyone tell me what is going wrong - tbh, I haven't a clue what he is trying to do. I didn't even realise you can copy/download games from xbox.
Many thanks

He cannot put games on the memory stick for use in his xbox (unless the box is hacked).
Games saves can though.
try google "xbox360 usb stick" and read the results.
Try them in a PC, put data on them in that to confirm they work OK.0 -
Sorry I got it wrong.
He put the usb memory stick into the Xbox to format it.
He then intended to save a minecraft map onto the memory stick, from his pc. But the memory stick is reading as full.
Could it be that he shouldn't be formatting the usb memory stick in the first place?
Sorry it this isn't making sense :-(0 -
Have you tried them in a PC, as suggested above, to confirm they work?
Where did you buy these memory sticks from?
There are dodgy ones on ebay, for example.0
