Hi
Just need some advice, i bought some dr dre beats headphones via ebay last week, emailed the seller and made a offer and as it was a 5 day auction she ended it early and sent me a paypal invoice (referencing the item/listing etc). Delivery was made asap and it was all good until i opened the box and it turned out to be a FAKE version with everything pretty much missing!!
Seller had advertised and priced it as genuine and id even asked via ebay messaging and she assured me it was real model. Also from the box it advertised control talk that wasnt there, no case, manuals etc.
I emailed the seller but she didnt respond! so today i raised a paypal dispute, but wondering if paypal have to resolve it in 20 days, will they rule in my favour based on what i have told them? Is there anything else i can do? Iv got a feeling the seller is just ignoring the issue.

They will eventually tell you to send them back for a refund, you will have to pay returned costs and make sure to send tracked.0

but what if the seller still doesnt refund ( i dont have her address) will paypal force it from her account?
So annoyed im gona lose out in special delivery postage/packaging/hassle etc0 -
With this sort of dispute, it's far better if your seller totally ignores the dispute process and doesn't respond to any of the e-mails sent to them.
If they do respond and you win the dispute then you will in all likelyhood be expected to return the headphones (by a trackable method) and unless the seller is willing to pay for this, you will have to cover the cost.
However, if they fail to respond to the dispute, Paypay should find in your favour and issue a full refund without asking you to provide proof of delivery back to the seller.
If this happens, you will have the headphones and the refund, and if the seller later contacts you asking for their goods back you can tell them that you will return then after they have paid for the postage costs.0 -
I think you will have problems. You need to prove they are fake of you go threough the ebay process and this mnees to be a latter from the company.
I am assuming that this was bought outside of ebay as th auction was ended early, thus aviding their fees, so you don't have recourse through them either where the burden of proof is on the seller.0 -
If you win, which you should if the seller doesn't, PayPal tell you to return it, they'll give you an address to send to. You'll need to send it fully tracked, recorded wont cut it. I'd recommend sending it using myHermes or Special Delivery. PayPal only need to see attempted delivery on the tracking and they'll automatically refund you from the seller's account.0

From what others have said hopefully its just a case of returning it to the address they provide as i would never get a letter off Dr Dre and to organise that would be a nightmare!
It was bought out of ebay so initially i was worried if even paypal would cover me, but it wasnt done so to avoid fees (i think the seller still must have paid these as the listing was done) but as it had 5 days to run and i wanted it asap.0 -
