Not a chance in hell I'm afraid, as your Mac's USB is a host connection intended for connecting things like external drives/printers etc to, and the blu-ray players USB is also going to be a Host connection for things like memory sticks and external drives, as a general rule you can't connect two host USB devices together and get them to talk to each other*.

What you can almost certainly do, is connect the MAC to the TV directly, assuming your mac has either a HDMI, DVI, or VGA connection for an external monitor (basically you use the TV as a monitor), which would only require a HDMI cable, or at most a DVI/VGA cable and audio connection.

*You can connect two computers together with a special USB cable (I think it basically acts as an ethernet adaptor at both ends), but not things like Blu-ray players .
IIRC at one time they were available from Belkin, but it was a very finickety and relatively expensive way to do what you could do much easier/cheaper with a cheap nic and cheap network cable.
