from what i can remember i installed 3 of these, maybe 2 more but i cant be 100% sure,. anyways on the 3 i remember 1 coming late which ended up 3 months late, the other 2 or 3 weeks late and the 3rd around about 2 months late,
they all came with missing parts, or the wrong fittings, i had to ring up myself to explain what was missing then the customer would have to go and pick up the parts from a local store if the part was instock,.
and they are not the best of units (build wise) even with the price,.
have a look at howdens they are nice units,. they are trade but i dont think its hard to make a account,.0 -
Wasn't impressed with B&Q kitchens, prices, delivery, range or much else.
Check out IKEA!! - Think I've recommended them a million times on here, ought to have shares in the place (I haven't!!)
& if you do buy IKEA, get their Homecard (apply instore)for 5% discount on first purchase!!

I have just had a kitchen fitted and I did lots of research and asked around. I quite liked the B&Q kitchen which was quite cheap but they wanted about £3000 to install it. All their kitchens come as flat packs so cost more to install.
If you find a kitchen installer first they will be able to get you a Howdens kitchen. However I had a quote from them but they would not send me the itemisations. So did not know what I was paying for. They are not flat packs. I asked them several times and did not get the information so I cancelled the fitting.
I chose an MFI one in the end as it was the one I liked best. They do a range of already built units and a range of flat packs. They were quite good. Most things came on time apart from the pelmet and cornice for two cupboards we ordered later. The original ones were fine. The kitchen fitter was excellent (the best I have ever seen) It was a tricky kitchen but he did it in a week and it is superb. I cant fault it. They also only charged about £1000 to install. But would have been more for a flat pack.
It seems you get what you pay for. Some of the kitchens I looked at were very flimsy but looked good. The one I chose looked quite robust and it seems to be Ok in daily use. Hope all this helps.0 -

the trades man/woman whos installing ur kitchen gets the itemizations off howdens itsa full report with layout etc etc,. then its up to the trades man/woman to add a bit on the price of the units or supply you with the trade price and charge u fitting fees,.
the units are 30% cheaper then mfi units in most cases,. and howdens supply mfi with units ,. so i heard,..0 -
Apply for a Howdens account - nowt to loose there. Put yourself down as a property developer.0

Didn't have any problems with delivery ,they actually give us to many parts so i guess we were one of the lucky ones lol.
We got builders to install it .
But i can honestly say we had ,100% good service.0 -
oh and when i got my howdens account,. i used it 1 time in the 2months ish,. and they wacked on 5k credit on the account,. which of course has to be paid the next month,. so 1 month free credit not bad,0

Look out for special offers in B & Q. (we got 60% off). It`s a solid oak kitchen and we added a granite worktop, granite plinths(cheapest available) and posh taps (e bay)
No complaints about quality of units. When the estate agent came round she said "I can see this isn`t a B&Q kitchen. Enough said ??0
