  • The Bank will continue to consider your concerns and you should get a "full and final" response around eight weeks after they received your complaint.
If you happen to be in if they ring again, just be honest in what you say and if you don't know or can't remember something then don't be afraid to state that.

    Good luck...
  • Hi, I contacted Lloyds TSB in January regarding PPI I had on 4 loans between 2004 and 2007. Received a phone call yesterday from them asking me why I felt I was mis sold the insurance. I said it was because I wasn't told it was optional, I thought I would not be accepted for the loan if I didn't have it and that I was a civil servant didn't need it as I would receive sickness pay.
He them asked me if I would have received redundancy and if I would have received a 'death' payment from my employer. I truthfully said I didn't know but I did have life insurance at that time. He has told me to find out from my employer and he is ringing me back on Monday. Does anyone else have any experience of this or any advice.
    Thanks

Yes, they ask you these questions, then they don't uphold your complaint anyway :)

They are investigating your complaint, if you say you have life insurance, death in service benefits etc. which made the policy unnecessary then its reasonable to expect you to evidence this.

Yep:), and here's the mechanics as I see it, if they answer the questions in a way that gives the bank ammunition against the complaint then the bank will take it into consideration, on the other hand, if the answers weaken the banks position of defense against the complaint then don't be surprised if they'll disregard the answers and make their decision that they would have done anyway:rotfl:
