Personal Tax Return - paid too much tax - refund due?

  • Your earnings as director are your income which is liable to income tax, the corporation tax is the company's tax bill and completely separate to yours.
    You do need to check your online account as it sounds likely you owe HMRC

    I didn't owe anything when my company closed, I paid up all what I owed. Then moved to PAYE.

    Well spoke to HMRC and amended my self assessment return, been paid £1300 :)
