BP Petrol Station

Options
My husband filled up with £49.93 of fuel on Monday at a BP garage in Newcastle.

The payment has not been earmarked, nor has it been taken.

This is the first time we've used the BP, (normally ASDA or Morrisons).

Has anyone ever had this happen? How do you proceed?

TIA
Ever feel like you take 2 steps forward and 8 back?

One day, I will be debt free!

The best way to proceed is to ensure there is always £50 in the account because it's 99.9% certain they will take it eventually. Aldi once took over 2 months to debit my account . . .

I think they have up to 6 years to claim the money, although after 6 months they have to inform you before they do - something like that . . .

    It depends on your finances.....
If you are frequently overdrawn then .... view it as a reduction(long term possibly interest free loan)
If you don't go overdrawn but frequently have less than £50 you could either push them to take it now (send a letter to HOffice) or remove the overdraft on your account so it will be refused and not push you into the red and fees.....
(risky, bank likely to do it anyway)
If you always have more than £50 treat it as an interest free loan.

Did he pay at the pump? I use the Pay at the Pump facility at our local Tesco and quite often the payment doesn't show for a few days.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world
