Kindle fire HD query help please TIA????

Please can someone help just bought the above but I want to control the times my dd3 is on social networking sites I.e school nights. I can't see parental controls for this though to control the times . Tia

The parental controls on the Fire HD aren't very extensive. You can either allow something or not allow it, you can't control the times.

There is an app called Funamo which can be side loaded which will let you do it (costs $20 per device) which offers far more extensive parental controls. It gives you a two day free trial first after which I bought it for both my kids devices.

But sideloading apps onto the Kindle Fire HD is a whole other topic!

Suggest you ask for advice on Kindle products on the Amazon discussion boards .

Do you have any access controls on your WiFi? Might be a bit drastic to restrict the times that the kindle can connect, but maybe that's the level of control you'd prefer.

It is more the social network sites on there I have issues with. We were going fr the very basic but my husband got a god deal on a return item from John Lewis that some one returned.
