Applying for credit cards on maternity leave

Hello,

Does anyone know how to complete an application for a credit card when on maternity leave?

Mainly the drop down options for employment status do not cover it, I am not technically unemployed or employed full time. My first 12 week maternity salary is full pay so presuming I can declare my full annual salary at this time? I have jut started maternity leave and wish I had applied before hand.

You are fully employed, or else you wouldnt be getting maternity pay from your employer, it would be maternity allowance from the government. You still continue to accrue your holiday entitlements and any bonuses, and the law is quite specific, you are fully employed during maternity leave.

It is nothing to do with the CC company after that as long as you can provide them with the name of your employer etc...standard stuff.

Final check of course, is can you afford the credit card, can you use it sensibly without getting into more trouble etc, but these are questions you need to answer, not your CC provider.
