    hi dalkirst,

Maybe I'm taking your comment/advice the wrong way, but the posts before mine suggested that the comp wasn't working. I figured it would be the nicest thing for the comp community to let those that might have been put off from entering because it had been down to say it was up again, rather than bumping just for the sake of it.

UNLESS you meant the poster after me, whereby I can see your point. Personally I feel that if posts are relevant to the comp; ie. the comp is down, or the comp is back up after being down, or a question change or T&C's change then the thread should be bumped to reflect that, but it only needs to happen the once. Was that what you actually meant?

Or did you mean that you'd rather that there was no posting of the 'status' of the comp after the original comp post? And if so, is that a general feeling amongst the BG's or just your opinion? And if it is a general feeling has it been discussed with the superiors about editing/changing the Basic Rules in the Comping Forum? And if it has been discussed with the superiors has there been any proper feedback other than the slightly ranty thread in CCC?

I'd quite like to have your feedback and to discuss this further with you dalkirst, but this thread obviously isn't the right place. My PM however is always open if you'd like to get in touch. I assume if there's no contact it was just a misunderstanding on my part and I'll carry on providing what I think is a useful, albeit very small service to the other compers,

Finally I apologise to OP Comping Cat and indeed to the other users for bumping the thread with this comment, especially as it isn't relevant to the comp. However if I had posted else where, not only would it not have made any sense, there would always be the chance that users would think I was having a dig at dalkirst, which is certainly not the case.
