Cashback when switching to new tarriff with same Gas and Electricity company

Options
Can you get cashback when switching to a different tarriff but remaining with the same company?
I have done several comparisons and the results are overly generous and optimistic if I were to change to a new Utility company. The savings that were promised to me on various comparison sites disappear when I go into the actual companies websites, but surprisingly I find that if I stick with my present provider, I can save quite a bit.
Can I use a cashback site to switch to this new tarriff?
Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear you have experienced issues when using comparison sites

If you would like someone to look further into the issue, could I suggest you provide the following details please?

    1. The annual consumption figures you input
    2. Your supply region (or first part of your postcode)
    3. Your current supplier & tariff name
    4. The comparison site used
    5. The supplier & tariff you found more expensive on the suppliers own site

All costs from all comparison sites should be the same, as should the cost if you go direct to a supplier.

Regarding cashback, refer to the terms of the cashback site. If it's through a comparison site, then if you can switch via the site then you will get any applicable cashback.

Wow, that's a lot of energy to consume in a year

However, energyhelpline says it'll cost you £2599 a year

Energyhelpline says the Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 21 would cost you just £2463 p.a.

The Scottish Power website confirms the annual cost of their tariff would be £2462.51 p.a - a declared saving of £136.09

    (£2462.51 + £136.09 = £2598.60)

The E.on website also confirms your current annual cost is £2598.60
The cheapest E.on tariff available to you is indicated at £2564.64
    (Eon Energy Discount v1)

Btw, Spark Energy would only charge you £2,086 p.a. for that consumption
(£2085.76 according to Spark Energy website)

You cant get cashback through a cashback site like Quidco/Topcashback for retention switches (at least you couldnt last time I looked)

If you can switch through one of the comparison sites that offer cashback then you should get that, I've had it from energyhelpline before
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
