can you get publisher free..?

is there anywhere on te internet where you can get publisher for free......or is it the type of software you got to buy..

as i want template for letter heads etc....

You can download a program called open office which is a free version of ms office, theres word, publisher, excel included unless you know someone who has a copy of ms office you can borrow

OpenOffice doesn't contain an equivalent to Publisher. As f1Charlie said Scribus is the closest free version. Obviously you can get Publisher free but that would be illegal.

You can create templates in OpenOffice Writer (or Word if you have MS Office), depending on what you want ot do that may work well enough.

i did think that publisher was one of those softwares that you had to buy..... but thought i would check....

i will take a look at those links....

and that billScarab i will have a look in word.. i am not to clued up on computer stuff.... so thats why i thought of publisher...

( by the way billScarab have you got anything to do with beatles ?)
