Well we met up with the guy who did the quote, and decided to go for it. Went to the wood supplier and checked out the wood. We're paying cost price for the wood.

Starts Monday to lay some latex and will complete the floor on Tuesday.

    Fingers crossed!

Work completed yesterday and it looks fantastic. The fitter was a joy to have around the house, made such as difference as we've had some bad experiences with tradesmen in the past.

    Very happy.

It was from a trade supplier at hook roundabout just outside surbiton. Our fitter had an account there and the difference in price was negligible from online once you factored in postage.

Also being able to see the boards laid out in person made all the difference.
