How do I remove a widgi.toolbar?

I am having a lot of problems this week with a virus. I have just run spybot which says I have a widgi-toolbar 37 entries which is Adware but how can I find it and remove it? I've clicked on the fix it button but it hasn't gone.

See if there is an entry in the Control Panel - programs and features.

Also look in Browser - Tools -Manage addons.

It probably is not a virus and has come in with something you downloaded and installed, you did not read the conditions, and gave the program full access to install whatever it wants.


Whatever program you download/update ALWAYS choose custom install if available, then you can check what is there and optout if necessary.

Google Chrome and ASK toolbar are very often included in updates of well known programs !

Vista or Win7? Run Spybot as admin.

I'd still give AdwCleaner as suggested by dogmaryxx a run as well.
