I should think they are standing over the techies with coffee and chocolate to keep them going, the other two companies are miles ahead at this point. For once I think we as the customer are getting a really good deal as we are not waiting months for the payments which is superb.

Don't buy anything more expensive in order to get the cashback!
eg. The tinned tuna is not on the "half-price" offer in Tesco, so it's a way better deal to get the other brand.

Well, I scanned a product barcode with Shopitize
And then the receipt - it's been saying "We're still working. 1 minute please" for several minutes now...
Hmmm - the screensaver kicked in, so I scanned again; it recognized Tesco, but still says "We're still working. 1 minute please".
Then I pulled down to refresh, and it said "Receipt not recognized".
    I'll give it another try.
    ...
Stupid thing - it kept telling me to hold the camera still.
    Aha! it scanned the receipt.
    ...
Doh! it said "No offer found on this receipt".
The item I bought was Cravendale milk, and it is listed on the receipt as "Fresh Milk".
So, I scanned the barcode and its receipt and it didn't recognize it.
    ...
Well, that was a waste of time then.
    ...
So, I used an older receipt, and that one worked.
20 minutes to earn 30p isn't that great a return though!

And I went through a similar routine again with Shopitize and it took several attempts to scan and then said zero when the receipt finally uploaded.
It also told me to connect to the internet when I was.
And I have a concern that it's more bandwidth hungry, and I'm only on a PAYG service on my iPhone.
I'll give it one more go and then bin it.

Of the other two, I prefer TCB, which seems to be the quickest to track; I've taken to scanning both sides of a receipt and using Paint to amalgamate them into a single JPEG.
It's also good that you specifically say which item you are claiming against, though it does mean you have to upload the same receipt several times.

The Quidco one seems to take longer for the purchases to appear, and also it is not clear whether you are claiming one or two items when you upload.
It does have a handy feature to print a list of items (in a PDF) to take with you.
The other thing is that the Quidco cashback amounts seem highest of the three.
  • morning all, just a wee warning as looks like i may have mucked up my quidco - submitted receipt and it didnt have date showing...they took 4 days to reject it and of course now i can resubmit as its different deals, i have emailed them the receipt showing the date but not holding my breathe that i will get it.

There was a comment about Sainsburys receipts on one of these threads.

Quidco's web page allows you to upload 4 receipt images.

I've taken to scanning both sides onto a computer and cut'n'pasting them into a single image.
