Download problems

I'm trying to download a large file from the internet via a wireless network.
However the download gets to a certain random point and then stops downloading. Even if I leave it the download does not continue. I originally thought the firewall or my anti virus was causing problems but disabling them does not solve the problem.

If I connect the Ethernet cable directly into my computer then the download appears to download without any problems.

Anybody got any ideas on how to overcome this problem.

Thanks

You downloading it using IE? Your connection is probably dropping momentarily which IE doesnt like

You could try reducing the mtu (a setting in the router config) to 1400, it may make no difference, but worth a try, put it back to what it was if it doesn't work.

Changing the MTU setting made no difference. Many thanks for the tip.

I'm trying to download the file now using the free download manager. And up to now all is working well.

    Many thanks

    OK, sorry..

Are you having any problems with the wireless connection dropping in the middle? Wireless interference, change channels etc.
