Faulty TV

Hello,

I bought a TV from a very big online retailer, but the TV had a minor fault (or major, depending on how you look at it) but either way, it warranted a replacement, and probably couldn't be resold, certainly not as as new. I received a replacement after about a week. The company in question hasn't asked for it back. Infact, when I questioned it, they said they don't want it back! On the RMA email, it also says "No collection or return required"

What does this mean? What should I do with this TV? It's perfectly good enough for kids/someone who's not as fussy as me. Infact, it's probably OK for the office/study, but I don't want to sell/give it away or use it, if they can turn around and ask for it back at any time.

What shall I do?

Thanks,
Scott

  • I would send them one further e-mail (and make sure that you keep a copy of it) asking for confirmation that they don't want it returning (and again, make sure that you keep a copy of any reply).

If they state the same thing, then you should be able to do what you like with it.

Out of interest what was the problem with the TV and how much did it originally cost?
