Flevox, spot on for cats problem

First time I have used it and my cat has a bald patch which follows the line of the contents of the pipette, some mild inflammation and scabbiness. I will go to the vet, but wondered if anyone had simialr problems?

Comments

  • Yes my cat had a reaction to advantage and the vet said he had a flea allergy.
He kept scratching making bald sore bloody patches.
He didnt have fleas but even one bite can affect them weeks later,
I had no option but to leave tiger alone let him carry on for a few weeks then used a different flea treatment.
We used advocate and had no probs since,
It's not v nice to see these nasty raw patches but they do heal quickly on their own and the fur grows bak quickly.

Thanks Spartacus, the patch got worse, but now seems to be getting better. I wrote to the supplier but got a patronising reply. A friend has recommended advocate so will try that next time.

I'm glad your pusscat is getting better :)

I've been using Advocate for years, and have noticed that my cats are becoming really quite resistant to me putting it on them. They can smell it from miles away now, which they never did before. I do wonder if the formulae/ingredients are getting stronger as fleas perhaps become more resistant to treatment. I haven't seen any other adverse reaction to Advocate, though, but please do be careful. I believe this is only available at the vets or on prescription, so maybe have a wee chat with a vet beforehand? If your pusscat is allergic to one product, he may be sensitive to others. Hope not though! :o
