I have had 2 Epson printers the current one is SX415 I am having an ink problem with clogged print heads I have done the clean print heads without resolving the problem that the black ink is not working. Nozzle checks for the other colours are OK. I am now out of ink have a printer that I can't use and wondering whether just to get rid of it and buy a new printer. I want to spend no more than £50 - 80
Am wondering whether I should go for another brand. I have a laptop as well as a desk top The current printer is not wireless so would want to buy one that would allow me to print f rom the laptop.
Spoken to Epson whilst trying to resolve my problem and they suggest XS 405 printer Amazon have this for sale for £55
To take the printer to a local Epson place who could possibly fix it means a taxi journey cost £12 X 2 = £24 plus whatever it would cost to repair. They tell me that they can do a lot to clean the heads but at what cost
Would appreciate advice on this

Compatible inks are widely available for this

Compatibles for this are expensive at the moment, and will probably stay expensive until more are sold

If you want to keep the SX415 then you could get a set of refillable cartridges, fill them with head clean then run purge sheets until they print clear, then fill them with ink.0 -
Thank you for your response I will take a look at the printer you suggest If I buy a wireless printer now that I have a laptop it would make sense.
Thanks again0
