Nexus 7 and backup ability?

Hi folks,
I intend to get around to buying a nexus 7 32gb tablet in near future and have a quesiton as to its backup ability when I install an app called "all in one toolbox" on it. (thanks to the person who told be about it on here)
I like to backup all my apps and on my present cheap tablet I have the above app. It will backup everything to the SD partition on my tablet and then it will be able to do a batch install, should I ever have the need to restore table to factory conditiion (at least thats the way it ia meant to work anyways)
1 Since the nexus will only have one partition of 29 gb I believe will it be possible to transfer the "all in one toolbox" backup folder onto my computer, then if I ever need to do a reset just copy it from computer back to nexus, so that it can do its app restore?
Or
2 Is this not possible since the backup folder will be on same partition as where the apps are going to be reinstalled to again?
Thanks for any help

It will be possible to transfer your backups from the internal storage once connected to a PC via USB. I do this with Titanium Backup or system image backups from Clockworkmod.
Another option to consider if this is just for apps is Carbon, which was recently released and has a companion desktop app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5rb3VzaGlrZHV0dGEuYmFja3VwIl0.0 -
Not really looked into it but google keeps a record of your apps or it does for my android phone so maybe it does the same for the tablet.0

My original Nexus 7 had a faulty battery and was replaced. When the new one arrived it was just a matter of registering it with my Google account and restoring all my apps from the play store. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
