hi
i have claim PPI and won settlements from 3 of the policies i was sold.
but i am having problems with Barclays. but they have sent me a "good will payment".
the problem is that the policy was sold sometime ago via the Woolwich (now owned by Barclays) i have some of the documents for the policy (number etc) but Barclays say that they dont have any records for my policy and as a result they can't work the amount of compensation i am due and sent me a "good will payment". the also upheld my complaint some the should refund the full cost of of policy plus 8%
has anyone had this happen to them and what did you do to sort it out.
cheers

If you have documentation to show what you paid, and it's more than the goodwill payment, send copies to them and ask them to reconsider.
However, if there are no records left, there are no records left, so you can accept the goodwill payment or not.
Taking it further to the FOS will have no effect because there are no records and they can't magic them out of thin air.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Unless you can show exactly how much was paid by you with comprehensive documentation from your own archive, your only option is to accept the goodwill offer as you won't get any more.0
