I bought some valentine's day flowers online and paid extra so that they get delivered before 2pm, but they havent arrived.
Has anyone else also had this problem and what did you do? Whever I call their number, Im faced with an automated message. I sent the company an email so that I have proof of communication.
I have paid for a service which they havent fulfilled.

No - the company was called "iflorist":EasterBun0

iflorist won't give a monkies or a refund of the charge, just cross your fingers and hope they arrive at all, don't stress trying to get sense out of them because you will be the luckiest person out if you do0
-
If they don't respond to you then the next question should be....how did you pay?0
-
Hopefully when and if they do arrive, you don't wish they hadn't, like the flowers I ordered today. They weren't anything like as described and were very poor quality. I intend to request a refund, but I'm not too hopeful, as they can't even spell guarantee correctly in their '100% Satisfaction Guarentee'0

they don't like refunding the flowers which are florist sent as they lose their 30% commission and the florist is never going to admit to them that they sent out scraps because thats all they could afford on the pitiful amount iflorist give them, so then iflorist have to pay the whole lot back.
if they were boxed from their central supplies depot you will have them saying that there were no other complaints so yours must have been fine too, its the one industry where they can rely on getting away with sending shod out because they work on the the theory that if someone buys you flowers you aren't going to turn around and say they were rubbish - unless you are me0 -
I also had a problem with them.
Ordered some valentines flowers for my girlfriend with the promise of guaranteed delivery on valentines day.
Valentines day passed and the flowers had not arrived, so I tracked them and it stated they were at the local depot, so I thought "fair enough, they'll be delivered tomorrow" I then raised a "Ticket" with iflorist informing the flowers had not been delivered.
The next day (Friday) the flowers had still not arrived, I again tracked them and they were still at the depot with the status "Delivery delayed"
I then called the courier to ask why they had been delayed, they informed me that iflorist had failed to get the parcel to them in time for delivery, I again tracked them & noticed that the flowers had only been collected by the courier at 4pm on the 13th, and had arrived at my regional depot at 9am on the 14th, missing the delivery van that was coming to my area.
I then asked when the delivery was likely to be made, as the delivery address was my girlfriends workplace, and her workplace is closed at weekends, I informed them I the delivery address would need to be altered if they were delivering them at the weekend. The response was that the delivery would not be made until Monday the 18th! I raised another "Ticket" with iflorist informing them of the conversation with the courier.
The flowers arrived on the 18th, looking very withered.
I still have not received a response to either "Ticket" message!
Today I spoke to iflorist and they said the best they can do is offer a £10 discount code off my next order or refund 25% of my order. I informed them I am looking for a full refund, due to the delivery being 4 days late, and when they finally did arrive the flowers looking well past their best.
I also called a local florist on Saturday morning (the 16th) to arrange for flowers to be sent to my girlfriend that day, as she was still waiting for her valentines day flowers. So the iflorist order was now irrelevant, I tried calling them to cancel the order and ask for a refund, but they were out of office so I sent another "Ticket" to complain they had not responded to my previous 2 "Tickets" and stating I wanted to cancel the order and claim a full refund due to the failure to deliver on time.
Where do I stand?
Thanks in advance & sorry if it's a bit long but wanted to get all the facts out.0 -
Forgot to add that when I spoke to iflorist today, they told me the delay was due to adverse weather conditions in Nottingham.
I replied that this was irrelevant as the flowers had been at the Aberdeen depot at 9am on the 14th, and not delivered until 4.30pm on the 18th. There was no adverse weather conditions there.0 -
I once purchased flowers for a birthday (from a different company, Serenata flowers) and paid extra for delivery before 10am because after that time there would be no one home to receive them. They ended up arriving about lunchtime and had to be left in the garage until that evening. When I emailed to complain, the company were apologetic about it and refunded me £10 (which was a bit more than I paid for the delivery).
You are certainly entitled to a refund of the postage given that they failed to give you what you paid for, but whether you get it will depend on the standard of customer service from the company and if they refuse to refund, whether you want the hassle of chasing them for the matter of a delivery cost. Hopefully they will respond to your email.0 -
Delivery was included in the purchase price so not sure where I stand as regards to that!
If the flowers had been delivered a day late then I would have accepted the £10 voucher or 25% refund offered, and given them the benefit of the doubt. But as it was 4 days late, and a replacement had been sourced at further expense due to this late delivery, I feel a full refund is the only acceptable outcome.
Whether or not they will issue this is another matter! I will post any further updates!0
