Hi,
I wonder if anyone can throw some light on getting a backpacker/multi trip insurance quote that includes Kosovo? My daughter is touring eastern Europe for 3 weeks but I can't seem to get a quote that includes Kosovo.
many thanks for all advice.

I am guessing that Kosovo is not a named country, as until recently it has not been a country that it is advised to travel to. It may be included within the Europe geographical area.
Best advice is to check prices online, but do phone companies to make sure they will cover travel to Kosovo. There is a travel warning to parts of Kosovo.

Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
Coincidentally I was there just over a year ago, Nationwide travel insurance covered me.
The wording includes Europe as "...all countries defined as mainland Europe, the Republic of Ireland, Madeira, the Canary Islands,
Channel Islands, Syria, Turkey, Iceland, Azores, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel and all countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea."
Whether or not they recognise Kosovo or include it as part of Serbia (unlikely as we recognise Kosovo in the UK), it's still mainland Europe.0 -
A policy that includes world (inc or exc north america) would cover Kosovo unless there is any FCO advice not to travel there. You may struggle to find a Europe only policy that does0
