I pay my card each month in full. My due date is the 29th and looking back on my statements has been for months. Last month payment cleared on the 29th but the credit card had changed the due date to 28th. I know they cannot just do this is USA but can they do it here?
Advice would be welcome thanks

You need to ask them!
We are with a company that sent out statements with payment dates around the middle of the month where I would have preferred the start.
I also found that the dates kept fluctuating (another company we had a card with a the time always had the same fixed date).
After a time I asked why the date changed and could I move it, they waffled something about number of days etc. they agreed to move the date.
The new date was out by several days and then again kept changing! I think I contacted them twice more and the dates got changed but again moved. On the last call the date did not end up where I wanted it but at least the statements are pretty much the same now (give or take Bank Holidays etc.) and I have got used to them.
The cut off is around the 23rd of a month and the due date is around the 13/14th, so all I do at the start of a month is to account for this payment (automatic statement balance in full DD) with other monies going out and then keep in a higher rate savings account which is then transferred (same bank - current & savings account) to the current account a few days before payment is due to be taken.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Yes they can - most of them anyway. The DD says on or around if this is the case tather than on or after0

The T&Cs almost certainly allow them to change the statement date. If they do that, the payment due date will change, but it will still be XX days after the statement.
I've never had a card issuer change the statement date at their request before, though.
Egg used to produce my CC statement on the 19th working day of each month, meaning the statement could vary by as much as 4 days from month to month depending on bank holidays and when the weekends fell in relation to the start of the month; which meant the due date also changed.
Most card issuers will allow you to change the statement date, but possibly only to a certain range of dates, not exactly to within one day each month. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Surely they have to given that Feb only as 28 days...
I though most CC will avoid all days after 28 for that very reason.0 -

With RBS this certainly used to be the case, I'm not sure if that's till the case though...£2013 in 2013 / £353.22 /£2013 so far
