hi everyone,
thank you very much for your replies. we are still considering this property. i think we are ok with having substation next to the house, but later if we would like to sell it onwards, we could struggle with that, so we need to take this into consideration.
substation itself looks good from aesthetic point of view, bricked walls and gate, dont know what material though, as at the time of viewing the property, i was rather paying attention to property itself than other buildings
i think we could live without Faraday's cage but nonetheless thank you for suggestion

If you do end up buying it then plant a good hedging plant in front of it so that when you come to sell it is not visible to potential buyers.0
