EE dodgy sales tactics

I have been an Orange customer for a long time now and have previously had my home phone line with then but migrated away to join BT.
Anyway, tonight I gay a phone call from EE trying to sell me home phone and broadband for just under £30. Sounds good but as I have a fibre service I asked EE to confirm the speed. I laughed when the sales man said upto 8Mb. I explainded I had a 160Mb service and wasn't interested. Very pole about it and he hung up.
About 20 mins later my home phone rang and apparently it was the BT retentions department telling that a mistake had been made on my account and my broadband speed was wrong, they were really sorry about this. Funny enough this chap had the same accent as the chap from EE. He just started to ask if I had recently received a call from another provider when I challenged him about it. Strangely enough he hung up, on checking the callerID it was the same number that had called my mobile from EE.
I wonder if my service now gets transferred! Dodgy !!!!ers

These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

Have you reported this to EE? I would certainly make a complaint to them, not that there's anything in it for you.0
