Quick Launch Problem

On the toolbar where quick launch is, i cannot get internet explorer to go back on it.
It dissapered after re-installing windows so now i only have the 'desktop' icon there and nothing else.
How can i get IE to go back on my quick launch bar?

Isn't it a simple matter of clicking the IE icon on your desktop and dragging it onto the quicklaunch area?0

i had tried that and it had never worked tried a few times last night after pc crash.
try tonight and it has worked how thick do i feel now :-[
