Charity cold calls

Hi, last week my other half had a call about charities from an off shore call centre. We said we weren't interested but every day since we've had 3 or 4 different charities calling us. This includes NSPCC, Oxfam etc.

Today one of the companies advised it was due to us asking to be signed up by "British Consumers Surveys", which is completley untrue.

We are ex directory and signed up with tps.

Any idea how to contact the people responsible to get us off.


It's driving us mad.

We have started, very firmly, refusing to do surveys over the phone; especially from off-shore call centres.

This led to the wife getting 6 calls yesterday asking her to do a survey from more "senior" staff at each call

It's driving us mad. I don't think I'll give to charities again. I get fed up of them in the high street and now at home.

I know they need donations but they seem ruthless in their pursuit.

I just say I am not interested.
If they try and persist I figure they don't respect what I've just said, and I put the phone down and let them talk till they give up.

When they call, ask how much of the money actually goes to the charity.
My calls stopped after that.
