I'm expecting one of the remaining 2 locations to be easy, the other bloomin' difficult.

London, Istanbul, Edinburgh..... LIE_ _ so far - is it meant to spell out a location or be an anagram or something ?

The clue given on the radio is a bit more in depth than the one on the website (and I missed it this morning but Edinburgh Tattoo sounds good to me - there are other military tattoos but Edinburgh seems most likely as its the most well known, and in a city)

  • I've heard bits and pieces:

in 2nd largest country of world by area
largest city proper in the world
can see five (gold?) stars, one larger than the rest
the country's formula one is held in this city.

Sorry for the vagueness and any errors, doing this in half term is not helping.

    I'm thinking Shanghai

    I agree with shanghai:

(al of the above clues fit except the 2nd largest country by area, have searched several websites and china coming in 4th on average)
