Help please, I cannot record on freeview

Just bought a freeview box for my tv bedroom. Everything seems to be working except I cannot record on freeview using a vhs. Also I have noticed when I watch a video cassette, my channel has changed. I wonder whether I need to tune the tv again. Thanks

If your TV plays cassettes and recordings from your video then don't change the tuning of the TV as that is working correctly.

Assuming you are not using a scart connection between the freeview and the video and they are connected with the aerial coax going first to the freeview box then into the video then on to the TV, you need to tune a spare channel on the video to receive the signal from the freeview box so that you can record from it.

I was originally unable to get freeview to record - make sure the scart between box and video is connected correctly, as I was originally only able to get the sound on freeview thru video till I changed which scart plug I used on the freeview box.
Also with my vid I have to select L2 and the freeview channel is there.
