    Let's see whats First Direct's customer number is 0845 6 100 100

I always use the 0113 234 5678 number as given by Hazzanet. If anyone knows Natwest's landline I would be grateful.

Even Natwest's overseas number is an 0845 number

Fair enough especially if dialling from a mobile but bear in mind that is the Leeds number and that First Direct also has a call centre in Hamilton Scotland so you might have a longer wait for your call to be answered (10 seconds instead of 5?)

Same wih Halifax etc would cost you £20 if you used it....

Not at all. I have a £950 interest free overdraft at the moment - and come January 2014 would have had it for a year.

    According to saynoto0870:

    0845 788 8444, 01634 890876, 0800 200400

    "Customer services and telephone banking
On 0800, select option 2 for enquiries on existing accounts to be put through to same menu as on 0845/01634."

That's their number for opening a new account, not for general banking business.

Me too. I've tried ringing the 0800 number but as soon as they realised I was an existing customer they just told me to ring the 0845 number.
