Westgate Florida Timeshare, how do I get out????

Hi Everyone, newbie here, so please be gentle.....
Feeling a bit of a mug, as we are one of the fools who bought a florida timeshare from wesgate orlando. I wonder if anyone has any advice on how to get out of the deathgrip contract which we appear to be in for life. we are 2 years into this, and clearly are never going to get a holiday out of it.
Using this site I found several links to the Timeshare Consumers association, who I have e-mailed for advice. I just wondered if there was anyone out there who had any success at actually getting away from westgate? As a total scam, its hard to accept we were that stupid, but we were.
That said we attempting to fix the problem, but its all rather intimidating. I would love to here any success stories or advice from those who have tried please?
Thanks in anticipation.

  • Hi Nisnool

I thought I respond even though I know nothing about timeshare.
If it was me, I would probably see a lawyer.
I dont know if that would be the right course of action but that is what I would do. :)
    Happy :)

They tried it on us back in 1999, went for the free breakfast then said no, kept pestering us until we were quite blunt with them. Places are really nice but costs and terms ridiculous.
