Apparently my minimum contract period must've or be about to come to an end.

I've had 6 "about my upgrade" calls from companies "on behalf of" Orange/CPW.

I've had to add another Junk contact to my phone to add the numbers to.

Just say "this is a PAYG phone" when they call. They soon lose interest.

It won't be Orange. Trust me.

Just tell them you work for Orange. They'll never call you again!
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    Just had the 8th call.
Caught me at the wrong time and I just shouted "p*55 0ff!".
    Oops!
(My number is registered with TPS, so they are being disrespectful in calling me after I've told them not to.)

Depends if you opted out when you took out the contract, TPS doesnt apply then...

Except these are 3rd parties, not the company with whom I have a contract.

I had similar last October numerous calls saying my Orange business contract ending need to upgrade

Point is, I have an OVP: Orange Value Promise: Virgin Service Plan which is monthly billing but none contractual and domestic not business.

I did purchase a phone direct from Orange couple of years earlier but no formal contract issued, the accompanying paperwork did suggest my (non existent) contract expired in 21 months time which was a very strange period.

At the time the calls (20 months from purchase), were very annoying to say the least. The calls I ascertained were not Orange, although they claimed they were calling from/on behalf of Orange.

The calls soon ceased when the (21 month? none existent) contract expired.

My gut felling at the time was that someone had "leaked" my details to these third parties

And I just had another today.
I told the lady in a rather exasperated voice that I am with TPS and they are the 8th call about this; she was rather apologetic.
