I'm well experienced in buying planning application maps. A number of the suppliers are either pricey (ie. start at over £20), deliver by snail mail or have terrible sites. Best to do your own googling too but we found http://www.buyaplan.co.uk the cheapest / easiest. Hope this helps.0

Some local authorities will let you buy them when you are making the application - think it's usually about 20-25 quid
i normally download what I need from promap.co.uk
but it depends on the level of information required and what format you requireThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hmm, I think promap is for professionals only..it needs an account and isn't that easy to use for a planning map. But horses for courses I suppose.
Also yes local authorities sometimes sell them but buyaplan sell them from 10 quid odd so it's a no brainer I'd say.0 -

We use to use ProMap where I worked. It's excellent but really aimed at the professional market. Stanfords, with the excellent London shop, is where I used to buy them but it's much easier doing it online nowdays. Stanfords do have a site but it's awful so I looked round a while back and have been using the buy a plan one since.
Some Local Authorities also offer them but in my experience they're making a markup so aren't the cheapest. Also buy the digital version on these sites which is much cheaper than buying the printed version. Printing at home cost pennies.0
