And me. Getting between 1 and 15 minutes a day but usually no more than 5 minutes. :-( I was hoping that whenever I was able to work, there would be work there. Rather than feeling I have to sit by my laptop all day only to get a couple of minutes. Please tell me this isn't normally how it is?

I've managed 1.5 hours this week. Today I worked 2 minutes before NRT.

I've been revising the guidelines in my spare time but I don't want to do too much if work isn't going to materialise.

It is very disappointing but I am still hoping it will pick up soon.
  • I'm wondering if it is worth me spending all this time on the application process and exam if there is so little work available. :(

Hi, how long did everyone have to wait for their exam result? Mine had to be finished by 12am Thursday PST time and I'm not very patient at waiting, lol

Had a bit of work this morning but back to NRT now. I was aiming for 100 hours this month after a good week last week but not looking likely now.

I got mine at around 8.30pm our time on the day the exam was due.

Just to update for the last time, I finally got a response from one of the 3 addresses I emailed yesterday regarding my problem accessing the exam last week. Unfortunately the reply was a bit weird, and basically stated that they are unable to proceed with my application as there are currently no positions available. Funny that they’re still advertising the UK rater job on their website then, but whatever...

Some slightly better news is I also got a reply to a message I sent to Lionbridge a few days ago, where I asked about applying for other positions with them. They said it’s OK to apply for any of the other 4 roles currently listed on their site, even though I was only let go from the Internet Assessor job last month. This is the exact opposite of what I was told when I was still working for them, but I think I will make an application anyway and see what happens. :)
