OK ignore part of the question after re reading I am guessing I get the revision tomorrow well today really! I hope you can help with the other question. I still would like to know if you have any tips to pass and also tell me how many hours do you work and if possible how much roughly how much you earn weekly/month.
What do you actually do? Is it reading and submitting answers? Is it reviewing websites etc? I know these questions maybe a little dim but I just want to be prepared feel free to message me or email me kellyroberts2014@yahoo.com
Aldo in regards to tax etc I have never had to deal with this side of things.

Thank you!

there is not a lot we are allowed to say . The type of work and what you do and the salary will all be in your information . Tips to pass - read , read again . allow yourself a few days to do your tests .

as for tax you register with hmrc as self employed and complete a tax return each year . you will need to keep a record of your expenditure and your earnings each month and the tax return form is fairly self explanatory .

• Thank you. OK so it says that I will receive it tomorrow now I am assuming that I will have a week to read it etc but can I do the exam before the time they have specified?

The week you are given is to read the material AND do the exam and it has to be completed by the deadline. You can submit before the deadline but it's worth taking the time allowed. Good luck!
• Has anyone ever received their final results early, or is it *always* after the final deadline day?

As Claire says once you join LF you have to sign a confidentiality agreement so you can't describe the work. However I don't think it would breach any rules to say the stuff you do in the later parts of the exam are examples of some of the actual work you will do so you will see the sort of work or at least some of it during the exam.

Tips for the exam are keep the guidelines open all the time, take your time-I rushed through the first time and failed and had to retake. Use the search facility on the guidelines to keep locating the right part of the guidence to help you answer and make sure you don't miss any questions/sections out. Good Luck.

Regarding the tax you can register and submit your return online and the good news is from the current tax year you can use the simpler flat rate expenses see here:-
https://www.gov.uk/simpler-income-tax-simplified-expenses

Basically as you are working from home you can claim shares of your bills for the house and the internet costs against your income, but from this year rather than having to work out the ratio of work/personal costs you can choose to just accept a flat rate as set out by HMRC and not bother with the calculations.
Our calculations get complicated as OH is also self employed and does some work/admin from home so I had two lots of calculations to do-plus milage calculations for OH travelling to and from jobs and two returns to submit lol.

You can earn up to £9440 AFTER EXPENSES in the current tax year so if this is your only job you may find you don't pay any tax.

Someone mentioned the hours, but there is no min or max so it depends on when you can log in for work. If its available you can do it.

Good Luck

• Ali, thanks for the link to the flat rate expenses - I hadn't been aware of that.

Is anybody else really concerned about this NRT? My hours are way, way down on last month. I can't remember ever having such a long period of NRT before. I'm due for renewal in just over two weeks and I'm worried they won't renew me due to a lack of work available :(
