Double Glazing Chip Repair?

Hi
I have a chip in a pretty large double glazed unit.
Unfortunatley due to the size of the unit the cost of repalcing the glass is £374.00:(.
A bit of lateral thinking got me wondering whether it would be possible to repair the chip using a chip repair windscreen service etc?
I would really appreciate any experiences or ideas:A
Thanks

It's a good idea but i don't think it would work. If the seal has been broken and air has got in the gap wouldn't you still get condensation steaming it up.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Thanks guys.
Further research I done has me thinking that it may possible but you have to have a lot of things in your favour eg:
Type of glass
Size of chip
Amount of cracks
Whether the seal is intact etc
