Leak from handle in airing cupboard...

A shot in the dark but we're getting a leak from the top handle in the picture below (at the far end of the handle, not near the pipe), any ideas before I call a plumber...

It's a regular drip, basically we've put a small towel around it which needs changing daily.

Have you got an unvented pressurised hot water system installed?

;) Thats a combination Pressure Reducing Valve(PRV) and Safety Valve and the top Handle is used to set the output pressure for the system!

Looks very much like a Megaflo unvented pressurised HW cylinder it installed on?

Its quite likely to just be the valve gland leaking, if it has one and not just an "O" ring gland seal which is the likely option?

You could try to just operate the valve slightly and return it to the position it was, could make it worse, so I would invest in a plumber to do the repair?

A good one will probably be able to do a repair, another will probably suggest changing the PRV?

Oso unvented cylinder. OP: make sure whoever looks at the cylinder holds G3 for unvented. Not for DIY.
