Hi,
I am looking to change my car in the next year or so, so am starting to think about what to change to. Criteria at the moment are:
Sporty - for imminent mid life crisis
Diesel - as I do about 20,000 miles per annum, mainly on dual carriageways
Convertible - never had one, and probably falls under the mid life crisis above
Cost - say about £10,000, so looking for a used one
If anyone has any comments about what to go for or avoid, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

You may be able to squeeze a slightly high mileage Audi A4 2.5Tdi cabrio. Arguably, the best diesel cabrio out there.
If those are too pricey, I think the Peugeot 307CC and Renault Megane cabrio come as diesels too.
Personally, I'd push the budget for an Audi. Saw one in the trader last week for £12,500 but that was a 1.8.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
methinks a bmw 320d is best diesel cabrio? - but audi is fine and best choice on that budget0

I don't think you will get either of those car in a diesel for less than £15,000.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

He's right. As I mentioned earlier, I saw a 1.8 petrol for 12,500 but the diesels are well over 15k.
Back to square 1 eh. Do Saab do a diesel 9-3?If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -

Och well, it was just a thought really. I might need to look at something more down to earth such as mini convertible or tigra or possibly a cheap mx5.
I'll see how I go but thanks anyway.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0
