This won't go away in short term as is in statute books and no real reason for them to change it.

One point is you are advised not to get one more than 3 months before you travel. Don't forget you still need your Uk driving licence (both parts)

To get a IDP what do I need to take to the post office? Both parts of my driving licence, £5.50 is there anything else? Will I get the permit there and then or will it be sent in the post?0

Had an email from our Travel Agent today about the need for the IDP. Will call at the post office when i'm next passing.0
