To be honest that should be more a priority than posting on here - which you managed through the day yesterday!

pop round for a look or buy it and offer to pay cash on collection, then when you test ride it head for home, you cant be guilty of stealing your own property so providing you can prove its yours beyond any doubt job's a goodun when dibble turn up
  • if you win the auction you can then ask for the seller's address to collect.

you dont have to go yourself, just tell the police you know exactly where your bike is. you should be able to string the seller out for at least a week whilst police arrange a time to go and knock on the door.

i wouldnt let someone else buy it as you'll have more trouble working out where it is then.

The ebay seller only ever sold bikes and car stereos.

This to me sends alarm bells ringing..!
  • Send them a message asking a few detailed questions such as how long they have owned it, where they got it from etc.

I you arent getting any joy from the police, ring the chief constables office and ask why. It sounds like this seller is making a living out of stolen bikes and car stereos. Have you been to the police and spoken face to face with them?
