Mobility Car Tax work etc

We have been reported for my husband using my disabled tax disc to go to work etc. and the DVLA do appear on your doorstep to prosecute you for abuseing a disabled persons tax disc.
We were warned that he couldnt use my tax disc or he would be fined yet we have never only had one vehicle!
You were warned by an official, who had to quote the exact letter of the current law (one that came into effect before free discs for the disabled).
No one has taken the trouble to change this law because its never enforced for standalone cases.
If this ever got to court ie. you refused to pay the fine, then you would be the only one that the collective we, have ever heard of getting prosecuted for abusing a Tax Disc as a single offence and I doubt very much that you would be found guilty.
I'm sure that we all feel for you, its difficult to imagine, apart from jealousy, why someone would go to the trouble of 'reporting' you - of course the powers that be have to act and here we are.0
