Thanks for all the positive comments, lets drop the suicide bit now as i'm feeling a lot better after posting today!

So I had 2 calls from DCA's today, and got the ball rolling!!

    WageDayAdvance - Collected by MotorMile:
I owe £189.70. I have opted for a 3 month repayment plan (Which I can afford) of £63.23 per month. They also offered me a Full and final settlement of £152.00 by the end of this month but I am not sure yet if I can raise the money, if I can I will strike this off the list!

Cougar Finance - Capital 1 Credit Card
I spoke to these guys as well today, very helpful I am impressed. I told them I could afford a maximum of £30.00 a month, and they put me on a 14 month repayment plan of £25.00 so I am not living in a gutter. I have opted to do this by bank transfer so if I can afford slightly more one month, I can put this money towards the debt to get it paid off quicker!

About to phone another back now who called earlier, but its good to know it's not all over and they (so far) are accepting my payment offers!!
Result mate!!!!! There you go - not easy, but do'able - just a bit of focus and perspective. Well done and glad to see you're feeling a bit more positive - if you EVER feel down come on here - there will ALWAYS be people to lift you up and help

Thanks for your post! My idea is as follows:

Agree to make a minimum payment on a payment plan, then make some extra money each month to do one as a Full & Final settlement, then it should only take a few months to get them all sorted!!

Capital One for example, the limit was £200 so £160 odd extra is all charges, so next month will offer them £220 and save more :)

    Cougar (Capital One) £25/341.62

Aim to by debt free by December 2013 & have a Happy Christmas!! :j

  • MAke sure you get tax advice on your van and its running expenses, if it is a business expense, then it is taxed differently to income.

    Anyway, good luck.

  • Well done, you have realised you have a problem that needs sorting and you've taken it by the horns and are sorting it! I would be proud of you if you were my son Gibbo, keep up the good work. Here's another hug, whether you want it or not lol!

  • Get in there mate, great to hear DCA's actaully helping someone rather that twisting the knife.
  • Just wanted to wish you luck and say well done for posting and taking such positive steps. I hope any notion of you being a bad person for getting into a bit of debt has passed, I think some very bad people haven't got into a penny of debt. :) good luck.

I didn't give them much choice, The first thing I told the advisor was that I was recording the call for legal purposes, the first advisor cut the phone off so I called back! Had to really push MMF to give their bank details, after them insisting they only take payment by debit card ;)
