Unfair dual-fuel discount!!
Just a quick rant about something that really annoys me.
Npower give dual-fuel customers a discount of £80, but only give single fuel customers £20. I'm on their Economy 7 tariff because my house is all electric, so I qualify only for the £20 discount. Just like dual-fuel, I use them for all my fuel needs and probably spend a lot more with them than those who have gas and electricity, but I feel discriminated against at only getting the single discount.
I'm going to get it off my chest even more now, by dropping them an e-mail with the same views, although have no expectation whatever of any change being made to their system.

How do Npower know that you don't have gas from another company, or oil CH, or Calor gas CH, or Solid fuel CH, or open fires?0

The fact I'm on Economy 7 tariff and the monthly payment of £80 should give them a clue. Apart from that, it would be fairer if they based their discount on the amount paid to them annually, not the fact that you have 2 types of fuel.0 -

Without being facetious, what has 'being fairer' got to do with a commercial company out to maximise their profits?
It is purely a marketing decision to provide an incentive to gas users. You don't have gas so they don't need to give you an incentive.
If you could get your E7 electricity cheaper from another company you would(or could) change.0 -
what direct debit dicounts do the other suppliers have for e7? Does any supplier have a special e7 discount? npower tend to be reasonable for e7 as long as you don't live in yorks, northern or parts of the mids0
