Dave, Have you contacted the creditors explaining your difficulties and asked them to stop interest?
How many of you does the £100 a month on food feed? what about haircuts, newspapers, going out ect?
Also are you still using your credit cards as if so you are just going round ina vicious circle. you need to make a decision if you want to go down the DMP/IVA Route.
I dont mean this to sound like im having ago mate but no one is going to sort this out and it will not go away. You need to make a decision and stick to it. I myself messed about for probally 2 years before I made a decision to get debt free. Then 6 months ago it all went tits up again and I found myself in more debt. Once again I am making a efort to get things sorted and once again I have had my interest frozen with the creditors.
From the looks of your post your feeling sorry for yourself. we all have days like this but get over it and make a choice that you are going to be debt free. dont put it of anymore and call the CCCS and talk about your options.
We are here if you need advice but only you can take the steps needed to start the process. It would help if you could post more details of your situation. and if you have your spending under control now or sorted the reason why you are in debt in the 1st place.
Once again I do not mean to sound condersending and no offence is meant but it looks like you need a bit of a kick up the @rse

I agree with Crown. £200/month to spend on 'yourself' is a lot more than most of us manage on.
Anyone know how we could get this thread merged with the other one??0 -
Hi Dave,
I decided to do something about my debt in February this year. I hope to pay it off by July next year as hubby and I hope to move abroad then, and I want to start our new life without this debt.
In February my debt was nearly £11,000, now, two months later, it is than £8500. I think I will meet my target. By then of this month, I hope to be under £7500.
The thing to remember is that "pennies make pounds".
In other words, small savings add up. You say making changes based on your SOA won't help. But it does, they all add up.
And small incomes add up as well. To get extra income, you need to work extra hours. Or sell stuff - ebay (sorry you were scammed, but there are lot of real buyers out there!), car boots, amazon. Or both.
I am not an expert on SOAs, so I'll leave comments on that to others. But good luck. Make small, positive steps rather than looking for a single solution, and you will get there. Be determined.
Take care.Pennies make pounds.
