Hi,
I am massively in debt, by about £18,000. If i wasn't depressed enough, i've just been stupid enough to get ripped off on ebay, trying to sell a mobile phone. It has been posted to Nigeria, and i wont get any money for it.
I am such a dumbass.
How can i make £18,000 in 18 months? Any ideas?

oh dear, that scam is quite common i'm afraid. Have a look at Ebay's info pages on fraud to stop you being caught out again.
as far as your debt goes, have a look at southernscousers sticky for first time posters and post back here with SOA. We will be able to help but need to know many more details about your situation before relevent advice can be given.

I'm now a desperate man. Does anyone actually think begging rich people for money would work? What about selling a kidney? Hell, i'd sell my arm to be debt free. Im sick of thinking about it0

I have posted an SOA before. I get great advice about cutting down bills etc. Doesnt solve the problem does it. Maybe running away to Brazil for 10 years would.0

Hi, Have you posted up a SOA and followed the general MSE advice of budgeting and money saving on the small things?
If not then post up your SOA and we can offer you some advice.
As for Ebay and Nigeria well the two things dont go well together ever it seems. Did you post it out before receiving any payment or what? Was it a Paypal scam?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 297 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -
yeah. posted it out before payment. Recieved convincing emails to say funds were being held till a tracking number was emailed.
I have cut down all my bills to a minimum, i have increased my overtime. Still only get 200 quid or less to myself. Yep, i definately think leaving the country is an option. My head has been drained for constantly thinking about debts for last 5 years0 -

ok, well running away isnt going to solve anything. With the advice you have received have you been in contact with the CCCS and arranged a DMP? Have the creditors frozen interest?
Also I never saw your SOA I dont think so dont know your circumstances so please feel free to post it again.
As for raising £18k quickly its not really feasable in the real world unless you work in a very high level job or a supersalesman.
If you are going to really do something about the debt then you need to get organised and draw upoa proper plan. If you honestly cant work any extra then maybe BR would be a route?
THere are plenty of options still available to you. I also heard that Brazil is overatedOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 297 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -
